Jimmie L. Adams, 64, of Rosie passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2005 at a hospital in Little Rock.
Jimmie was born on May 4, 1940 in Darlove, Mississippi to Samuel Kelly Adams and Nettie Blassingame Adams. He was a retired truck driver; loved to read and garden and he enjoyed woodworking and cooking. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Ann Williams Adams of Rosie; four sons, Jimmie Lee Adams, Jr. of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Robert Kelly Adams also of Jacksonville, James Robert Adams of Mississippi, and Gregory Michael Adams of Rosie; three daughters, Connie Lynn Adams of Mississippi, Nettie Randall of Albany, Oregon and Renee Conway of Batesville, Mississippi. He is also survived by two brothers, Samuel Adams of Garden Grove, California and Perry Adams of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, Anna Rosamond of Greenwood, Mississippi and Ruth Corkren of Tucson, Arizona. Four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and five brothers.
Pallbearers will be Jimmie Lee Adams, Jr., Robert Kelly Adams, Sonny Mounce, Jason McDonald and Mike Ennis.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday in Maple Springs Cemetery in Rosie.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
