KATY, TEXAS - GEORGE HENRY GUILLERMETY passed away January 18, 2010. He was born October 18, 1950 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. A passionate alumnus of Texas Tech University, he worked in several facets of the engineering field from building restoration to oil and gas. Outside of work he was an avid photographer, airplane and train history buff, and an all around Renaissance Man. When not reading of Sherlock Holmes and Dirk Pitt, he was always busy taking his family on one of their vacationing adventures.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Julie C. Guillermety; daughters, Anna Leigh and Aimée Leigh; and many loving family members and friends that spanned the world.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Bolin Chapel at First Baptist Church, in Katy. A private family graveside service will on Saturday at Katy Magnolia Cemetery. A celebration service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the Fellowship at Cinco Ranch, in Katy, with Rev. Jeff Adams officiating.In lieu of flowers, Anna requests donations be sent to the Cinco Ranch High School Orchestra, 23440 Cinco Ranch Blvd., Katy, TX 77494, for the George H. Guillermety Scholarship Fund; and Aimée requests donations be sent to the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, 229 C.N.
