Peggy "Granny" Jane Bedingfield Curtis, 79, of Lilburn, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
Peggy was born December 20, 1939 in Atlanta, GA. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend to many.
Peggy was preceded in death by one grandson, Chris Osebold. Peggy leaves behind her husband of 22-years, James D. Curtis; daughter, Elaine Hill (husband Mike), her two daughters, and their five grandchildren; daughter Lynn Osebold, her two sons, and one granddaughter; Leonard Aaron Bedingfield Jr, (wife Tina), their four children, and 11 grandchildren; Monica Kimbler (husband James); Tommy Curtis (wife Cathy) their five children, 17 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; Diane McCoy (husband Carl), their six children, 18 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; Jimmy Curtis (wife Kathy), their five children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Nancy Reddin.
Peggy attended Roosevelt High School. She married Leonard Bedingfield at a young age and they had four children. After his passing, she married James D. Curtis, where they built a beautiful home and life in Lilburn. They successfully merged their families.
Peggy was a lover of animals. She loved her six cats and three dogs. She was happiest being surrounded by family. She loved all holidays as she got to see everyone. She had a heart the size of Texas and always made everyone feel right at home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. All are welcome to visit on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Memorial services for Peggy "Granny" Jane Bedingfield Curtis will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2019 in the Chapel of Tom M. Wages Funeral Home, Snellville, GA. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceville, GA.
