She left a legacy of needle work completed throughout her lifetime and she spent many hours sewing for herself and her three daughters.
She loved to travel, Hawaii being a favorite destination. Spent time traveling the U.S. by motorhome with her husband.
A member of the Garden Grove Women's Chamber of Commerce, the Garden Grove Lionesses, Auld Lang Syne of Garden Grove, the GG Historical Society, worked many years for the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival Association, and served on the board for the Parent's Club of Job's Daughters Bethel 212 Garden Grove.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 67 years, LaVerne, sister, Pauline Thornton of Taft, CA, 3 daughters, Letha Foley, Margaret Reafsnyder and Susan McFarlain of Lewisville, TX; 7 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law Ray, Art and Howard Reafsnyder and sisters-in-law Grace Read of Las Vegas, NV, and Beverly Brown of Shawane, WI, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, Aug. 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dimond & Shannon Mortuary, 10630 Chapman Ave., Garden Grove, CA 92840.
Services were held on Friday, Aug. 31, at 1 p.m. at Garden Grove United Methodist Church, 12741 Main St., Garden Grove, CA 92840.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association or American Bone Health in memory of Jane Reafsnyder.
