Brett Scott Abbott, age 44, of Hot Springs, died Friday, June 8, 2007 after a bout with cancer.
He was born on October 30, 1962 in El Paso, Texas, the son of Travis Abbott and Alene Pogue Abbott. He was preceded in death by his father; and five uncles, Jack Abbott, Coy Pogue, Jimmy Pogue, Vernon Abbott and Calvin Abbott.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of Desert Storm where he served as a sniper. He was Church of God in his faith.
He leaves behind a daughter, Jessica Abbott; a son, Jeffery Abbott, his mother, Alene Abbott; his brother, Alan Abbott; his sister, Lori Abbott; the mother of his children, Kim Abbott all of Hot Springs; 1 niece, 1 nephew, numerous great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2007 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Hot Springs with Pastor Andrew Gonzalez.
Visitation will be Monday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Sunshine.
Pallbearers will be Galen Ross, Phillip Morris, Todd Graves, Donnie Garrett, Shawn Graves and Pete Black.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Johnson, Troy Graves, Ricky Garrett, Ed Watson, Larry Graves and Junior Davis.
