L M Landers, 70, prominent citizen of Lithia, died at his home here Wednesday after several years of poor health. He was telegraph operator and agent here for the Norfolk and Western for a number of years and served in the same capacity at Midvale. Later he entered the mercantile business here. Surviving are the widow and the following children: Mrs C R Fauber and Mrs L R Hammond, of Roanoke, E P Landers, of Lithia, and Thomas Landers, of West Virginia. There are several sisters and brothers. Funeral services were held at Troutville this morning, with interment in the family plot in the Troutville Cemetery.
