This little girl was just as precious as any baby born could be. She was fine at birth and then developed the same kidney disease that her two brothers died from just 2 years prior to her passing. My parents were beside themselves with grief to find that she would die the same painful way her brothers died.
The doctors then didn't know about the disease, now in this day and age, a kidney transplant would be in order and of course dialysis until the kidney could be found. Mom did get pregnant again and was so thrilled, but as fate would have it, my daddy passed away of a heart attack 6 months before he was born. Daddy died at age 35. That baby lived and is now 52 yrs old.
We lived in fear most of our lives of death, it was always so hard to believe that in a ten year we had already lost my dad, two brothers a sister and my maternal grandmother who was only 57. How my mother had the strength was beyond anyones belief. She was under 31 years old and now left with 3 children to raise. Mother died April 27th '06 at the age of 84. It was not easy letting her go to heaven to be with the rest of the family but it was time.
