Earl Sr. was born in the 1st Wright log cabin at Millville, near Delrose, but was raised at Pleasant Plains which was later incorporated and became Blanche, TN.
His parents received the Millville place as a wedding gift when they married in 1873, but both were found on the 1870 Census at Blanche,TN in 1880.
Earl and his siblings were orphans, as a result of the parents contracting consumption. Most struck out on their own. Grandpa migrated to Texas and drove cattle on the Western Trail, from Ft. Worth to Kansas. He went to New Mexico where his brother Frank lived.
About 1899, they moved to Oklahoma Territory. Grandpa settled at Chickasha, Oklahoma and worked at the grain elevator for several years until he met my Grandmother, Mrs. Mary Ella Anna (Murphy) McLellan/d and they married in 1917. They settled first on the original McLellan homestead south of Tuttle, Oklahoma. Later they bought lands between Tuttle and Blanchard, where they remained until Mr. Wrights departure in 1941. Mrs. Wright at some point sold and moved back to Tuttle, where she remained until her departure in 1960.
