Son of Arlington & Patricia (O’Reilly) Bowman and husband of Susan A. (Jarrett) Bowman. They were married 46 years. He graduated from Parkland High School in 1960 and later earned a BA from East Stroudsburg State College. He was a beloved mathematics teacher and coach for many years. He taught and coached at Northwestern Lehigh School District and coached for Pen Argyl and Palisades districts. He was the head football coach at Saucon Valley High School from 2002-2006, leading them to their first District XI championship in 2004. He and his wife were one of the incorporators of Forgotten Felines and Fidos, Inc., originally of Allentown, currently of Germansville, PA. He was the president of Forgotten Felines for 15 years and worked endlessly to care for the countless animals that crossed his path.
