LEBANON - Robert Francis Bill of Lebanon died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center following a brief illness. He was 63.
Mr. Bill was born Sept. 28, 1944, in Hanover, the second son of the late Louis and Viola (Meyette) Bill of East Hanover. In 1953, the family moved to Lebanon where he attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1963.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 until 1968 and was stationed in Germany. Returning home, he worked for a brief time at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital as an orderly. In 1969, he went to work at Dartmouth Printing Company and was still employed there at the time of his death.
He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Elaine Staples of Hartland; three brothers, Louis Bill of Enfield, Joseph Bill of Hanover and Henry Bill of Acworth, N.H.; one sister, Shirley Gibbs of Enfield; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours were held from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, May 23 at Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon. Burial with full military honors followed in Valley Cemetery in Lebanon.
