Actor. He received notoriety as an American actor of the 20th century, best known for his role of Stringfellow Hawke in "Airwolf," which aired on CBS television from 1984 to 1987. A handsome young man with a square jawline, he was discovered by a talent agent while he was in the California Army National Guard. His first screen appearance was on "The Hardy Boys: The Mystery of the Chinese Junk" in 1967. He appeared in multiple films including "The Tribe" in 1970, "White Line Fever" in 1975, "Baby Blue Marine" in 1976, "The Mechanic" in 1972, "Vigilante Force" in 1976, and the mini-series "The Winds of War" in 1983. After "Airwolf," he mostly appeared in low-rated B Action films, such as "Alienator " in 1990, "The Divine Enforcer" in 1992, "Deadly Heroes" in 1993, and "Lethal Orbit" in 1996. With a decline in his health, his last film appearance was in "White Boy" in 2002. He died of cardiac arrest while a patient in a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.
