Mrs. Walter Arnold of the McBurg community died Sunday morning in Lincoln County Hospital, following an extended illness. She was 82.
The funeral was this afternoon at Ralston-Brown-McCauley Funeral Home. Billy Cole officiated. Burial was in Wrights Cemetery.
Mrs. Arnold was a native of Lincoln County, daughter of the late Harvey and Martha Coble Joins. Her husband, Walter Arnold, died in 1977. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Ophalynn Endsley and Mrs. Christine Smith, both of Fayetteville, Mrs. Lurlynn Lowe of Madison, Mrs. Jane Robinson of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and Mrs. Sue Tate of Pensacola, Florida; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
