Musician, Singer and Songwriter. He was the lead singer and primary songwriter of Talk Talk, which he co-founded in 1981 alongside Lee Harris and Paul Webb. They had early pop success with singles ‘Talk Talk’, ‘It’s My Life’ and ‘Such a Shame’. The band released several critically-acclaimed albums, including 'The Party's Over' (1982), 'It's My Life' (1984), 'The Colour of Spring' (1986), 'Spirit of Eden' (1988) and ‘Laughing Stock' (1991). The band split in 1991 and Hollis released a solo album seven years later, the self-titled 'Mark Hollis' in 1998 before retiring from music to concentrate on raising his family.
