Albion Morse...Boxborough town official
BOXBOROUGH - Albion W. Morse of Hill Road, died Oct. 17 at the Ayer Unit of the Nashoba Community Hospital.
He was born in Boxborough May 16, 1899, the son of the late Grant and Maria (Walker) Morse, and made his home in Boxborough all his life.
He had been highway surveyor for the town of Boxbourough for many years; had formerly been a selectman for 18 years, and fire chief for 26 years. He was a member of the Boxborough Congregational Church, the Boxborough Grange No. 131, the Worcester-East Pomona Grange and the State and National Granges. He was a member of the Minutemen Foresters Protective Association, the Norfolk-Bristol-Middlesex Highway Association, the Boxborough Historical Society, and the Colonial Camera Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella (Cobleigh) Morse; five sons, Albion W. Jr., of Dunstable, John A., Roger H., Donald C. and Warren H., all of Boxborough; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Foss, also of Boxborough, a sister, Mrs. Hazel Perrington of Princeton; 17 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
