Alice was a giving woman whose love for life showed through her bright smile and quick wit. Alice filled much of her time caring for her grandchildren and spending time with friends and family.

Those left to cherish her memories are her four sons, Dominique Harris, Sr., Harvi Courtney, Sr., Ali Courtney (Kiersten), and James Courtney (Keaira); three daughters, Christina Courtney, Harneisha Courtney, and Hyesha Smith (Zakhiem); her two brothers, Glenn Walker and Samuel Walker (Linda); her seven sisters, Peggy Shoulders, Nelrita Shoulders, Delphia Shoulders, Mary Gaines (Michael), Artis May Walker, Polly Walker and Queenie Seales (William); 16 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; 26 nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Alice was a mother to the motherless, a friend and a loyal companion to many. She touched so many people’s lives in ways even she couldn’t imagine. She left her home on earth too soon and the world is empty here without her.
