Ocala - Ellsworth H. Taylor, age 78, of Ocala, FL (Oak Run), passed away on May 29, 2007 at his residence. He was born on September 13, 1928 in Trenary, MI. Mr. Taylor moved to Ocala from Livonia, MI 13 years ago. He worked for Proctor-Silex as the District Sales Manager in Michigan for 16 years. He also worked for Independent Mobility Systems in Michigan and Florida for 9 years until his retirement. He was a 32 degree Free and Accepted Mason; former member of Elks Lodge #2252 in Inverness, FL; American Legion in Michigan; Oak Run Horseshoe Gray League; a former member of the Shrine Yacht Club, Chrysler Yacht Club and the Island Boat Club all in Michigan. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Taylor was a Presbyterian. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Meimi Taylor; daughter Karen (husband: Jack) Riggen of Deford, MI; daughter Janice (husband: John) Smith of Westland, MI; daughter JoAnn (husband: Steve) Hodge of Westland, MI; 7 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Walter M. Taylor and mother Leola Taylor. Interment with military honors will take place at Florida National Cemetery on Friday, June 1, 2007 11 a.m. There will be no visitation.
