It was in 2005 when Ashley moved to Woods Services in Langhorne. There she quickly became known as “Princess Ashley”. She would do various jobs around the campus and touched the hearts of everyone she met. She will always be an inspiration to us all. She enjoyed making people smile, and had a caring, compassionate heart for everyone in need, making sure that she always offered a prayer for them. She enjoyed her days at the beach in Brigantine, N.J. with her family, Ashley loved the Philadelphia Eagles and her two favorite pastimes were going shopping and listening to her favorite music. Her strong determination allowed her to conquer many obstacles along the way, allowing her to enjoy many happy times.
Ashley was the devoted daughter of David R. Piersig of Yardley and Maria Yannelli and her husband, Andrew Yannelli, of Philadelphia; the dear sister of Diane Harris of Levittown; the maternal granddaughter of Mario Carpino and the late Nella of Brigantine, N.J.; paternal granddaughter of the late Thomas and Rita Piersig; niece of Sara Jones (Jeff) of Connecticut, Pasquale Carpino (Anna) of Swedesboro, N.J., and Thomas Piersig (Linda) of Yardley; cousin of Daniel, Stephanie, Mario and Lorenzo; and aunt of Dana and DJ Harris. She is also survived by her special Aunt Edda and Uncle Fausto, and many other loving cousins.
Ashley’s entire family wants to express a heartfelt thank-you to the wonderful, caring, loving staff at Woods Services, and especially to “her Redwood Family” at Wood Services.
Family and friends are invited to Ashley’s Life Celebration (viewing) from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia, 13500 Philmont Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19116, where church services will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, Pa.
