Although he was a resident of Houston for almost 20 years, he still received the local Jackson County newspapers to keep up with his community. He enjoyed staying in touch with old friends and family through weekly phone calls.
He presented with a tough exterior but had a generous, kind and compassionate heart; as his family and friends can attest. His keen ability to improvise, adapt and overcome proved integral throughout his life. He loved fishing, entertaining others and listening to his music loud. He was a provider and protector by nature, and when he loved - he loved big.
Charles Rabon intended for his next promotion in life to be a full-time fisherman on Lake Seminole, but he received a job opportunity from the Lord on December 16, 2018 that he just couldn’t pass up.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Iris Alderman Rabon; his father, Edward Rabon, as well as many beloved family members; including a special aunt, Eunice Howell Ford, who loved him like a son.
Charles leaves behind his daughter, Nikki Rabon; brother, David Rabon, wife Olga; nephews: Joseph Rabon, wife Danielle and Johnathon Rabon; also, by his many close friends at the FAA, precious cousins and extended family, as well as his special friends Jose and Nely Bravo.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Sneads Assembly of God Church on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 3:00 PM CST with Reverend Juno Douglas officiating and McAlpin Funeral Home directing. Visitation with friends and family will take place one hour prior to services.
