Cynthia Ann Gattis, 90, of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away Saturday afternoon, January 25, 2019, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She was born October 3, 1928, on the Gullette family farm in Van Buren to the late Charles Richmond Gullette Sr. and Carrie Hackler Gullette.

She graduated from Van Buren High School. She was office manager and retired from T & F Office Machines in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

She married Otis R. Dougan in October 1946 and he preceded her in death in June 1967. In August of 1998 she married Darrell Gattis and he preceded her in death in July 2013.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Alice Gentry.

She was a life-long member of the former Saint John’s United Methodist Church. She was a woman of great faith, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was known by her grand kids and great grandchildren and man friends as “Mommers”.

Mrs. Gattis is survived by a daughter Dona J Watson and husband Jim of Van Buren. Three grandchildren, Becky Wilson and husband Trey of Fayetteville, AR., Carrie Beyer and husband Randy of Baxter Springs, KS., and Zane Gentry of Tulsa, OK., six great grandchildren, Ashley Wilson and Brittney Wilson of Fayetteville, Ar., Garrison Gentry and Jeremiah Gentry of Tulsa, and Nile Beyer and Zane Beyer of Baxter Springs, Ks. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also survived Mrs. Gattis.

Funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019 with Reverend Ray Copeland officiating at Ocker Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Friday, February 1, 2019 at Ocker Funeral Home, 700 Jefferson Street Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Roy Lee Kimmons, Ben Gullette, Bill Gullette, Trey Wilson, Randy Beyer, Carl Bosley, Garrison Gentry, and Jeremiah Gentry.
