Dorothy Viola was born to the union of Martin Evanson and Lillian Dickey.
Dorothy married the love of her life, Lawrence C. Bryce, on December 13, 1945 in Missoula, Montana and to this union was born Judith Ann, Louise Lillian (Langley), Marvin Eugene, Marcella (Phillips) and Michele Annette (Scott). Dorothy was the beloved grandmother of Robin Kristy Langley and Lacey Ann Scott and great grandmother of Shelby Madison Langley.
As a result of Lawrence being drafted into the US Navy, they made their home in California until moving to Safford in 1974 where they bought their beautiful old home east of Safford. Sometime later in the '80 they became interested and involved in the Oldtime Fiddlers and Dorothy accepted the office of Secretary in 1986 and held this office continually and faithfully until her passing. Because of it's "hominess" and size and their generosity, the home of Lawrence and Dorothy Bryce became the perfect place for fiddler's meetings and functions and many of them were held there including one memorial for a dear 'fiddling friend'.
