Daughter of Merle & Helen (Drummond) Christy.

Marilyn May (Christy) Aberth, 92, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011.

She was born in Akron, Ohio to Merle and Helen (Drummond) Christy on March 12, 1919. She attended the University of Minnesota where she studied music and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. She married Richard Aberth in 1944 and they were together 46 years until his passing in 1990. They owned and operated Poor Richard's Pub in Bath. Marilyn also loved the theatre and was a founder of Bath Players (now called Western Reserve Players). Marilyn and Richard retired to Ft. Myers Beach, Fla. in 1969 and lived there for 20 years. Marilyn was a realtor in both Ft. Myers and Akron. She also loved writing, fishing, and a good martini.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Michael Aberth and Helen (Bob) Franks; grandchildren, Jennifer (Shane) Robinson and Mark (Jessyca) Henderson; and great-grandchildren, Maticyn, Riley, Max, and Emmett.

Friends may call on Monday, April 4th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. There will be a memorial service to celebrate her life on Saturday, April 9th at 2 p.m. at the Granger Lake Condo Party House, 200 Granger Rd., Medina 44256.
