Leslie Dennis Frenzel, 86, of La Grange, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.

Leslie was born in Walhalla, Texas on March 29, 1932, the son of Alfred and Erna (Schlabach) Frenzel. He married Mildred Mueller on February 9, 1963 at Waldeck Lutheran Church.

Leslie served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a bull dozer operator for six years and then worked for Fayette County as a mechanic until his retirement.

He was a member of Waldeck Lutheran Church. Leslie enjoyed spending time at his farm.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred, of 55 years; two sisters-in-law: Mary Mueller of La Grange; Nila Kneip of Round Top; four nieces: Debra Ugarte of Eagle Lake; Kathy Stephens and husband, Brice, of Eagle Lake; Julie Leopold and husband, Scott, of Columbus; Dana Polasek and husband, Michael, of Ledbetter; nephew, Matt Kneip and wife, Christie, of Wallis; two half-sisters: Nila Young of Brenham and Lorna Finke of Washington; six great nieces and five great nephews and two great-great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Corvin Frenzel and wife, Ruth; two brothers-in-law: Wilbert Mueller and Ronald Kneip; great niece, Camille Ugarte; half-brother, Wilfred Frenzel; half-sister, Nelda Schroeder and husband, Elroy.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Waldeck Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019. Burial will follow at Waldeck Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Waldeck Lutheran Church, 6915 Waldeck Church Lane, Ledbetter, TX 78946 or to a charity of one’s choice.
