She was the eldest of the popular music trio, the McGuire Sisters (Christine, Dorothy and Phyllis), whose classic harmony was immortalized in popular songs such as "Sincerely," "Sugar-time," "Something's Gotta Give," "Just for Old Times Sake," "He," and "Goodnight, Sweetheart, Goodnight." Her television and stage performance career spanned over half a century with performances around the world, including a Command Performance for the Queen of England, as well as White House appearances for five United States Presidents. As an actress, she was best known for her appearances on The Red Skelton Hour, The Pat Boone-Chevy Showroom and The Phil Silvers Show. Her last public performance with her sisters was on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1968 until the trio reunited in 1986, appearing together sporadically through the early 2000s as an oldies act.
