Mrs. Mamie Moore Dies at Age 58
After an extended period of ill health, Mrs. Mamie Moore, 58, of 306 Dorris, died at 7:30 am today in Alton Memorial Hospital. She had been ill at her home for several months and two days ago when her condition to a turn for the worse she was moved to the hospital.
A native of La Grange, Tenn., she was born Jan. 4, 1886. She had resided in Alton for the past 10 years., coming here from Paducah, Ky.
Among survivors are seven children, and her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Blain, who resided with her at the Dorris Street home. The children are Mrs. J. F. Miller and Otis E. Moore, St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. H. L. Howard, Dalton City; Carl L. Moore, Jr., West Monroe, La., Mrs. J. F. Rhew, Boaz, Ky., Jack B Moore, Alton, and Mrs. M. A. Leveque, Detroit, Mich. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. J. Rushing and Mrs. U. Mathews, Alton, and 12 grandchildren.
The body is at Streeper funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
