He is survived by his daughters, Julie Henry and husband, Harry of Westlake, Louisiana and Cathy Trahan and husband, Ross of Sulphur, Louisiana. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lerin , Landon, Shayna and Coltin and his great grandchildren, Chandler, Kyle, Liv and James. He is also survived by his brothers, George L. (Pargie) Abdalla and wife, Neelum of DeRidder, Louisiana and Gerald Abdalla of DeQuincy, Louisiana along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James J. Abdalla, Sr. and Edna Gearen Abdalla.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 2 – 4:00 p.m. and the funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 West Fourth Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Dr. Gerald “Bubba” Abdalla, Jr. will be officiating. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
