William "Willie" Boyd

William Muir Boyd,age 69, died Friday, December 28, 2018 at University of Columbia Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri.
A visitation is set for 10:00am with a Memorial Service to follow at noon on Thursday, January 3, at the United Methodist Church in Fulton.
Willie was born on December 20, 1949, son of William and Mary (Muir) Boyd. Willie was dedicated to his family. He treasured his wife, daughters and grandchildren, attending Owen's wrestling matches, playing with Ellie, listening to Henry's stories and he was getting to know baby Sam.
Willie was the former president of Boyd and Boyd Title Company along with his brother, following in their father's footsteps. He graduated from Westminster College.
Willie was relentlessly curious about the World around him, tinkering on home made tractors in his workshops and filling his library with works on literature, history, philosophy and art. An exuberant traveler he never knew a stranger, whether in Central Missouri or on the banks of the Seine. Willie was also dedicated to public service, volunteering for years with PET International Mobility Worldwide of Columbia, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Pamela Kirk Boyd of Columbia, Missouri; brother, Jack Boyd (Beth) of Fulton, Missouri; two daughters, Julia Boyd Uhls (Chad)and their son, Owen and Cynthia Boyd Beckmeyer (Brian), with their daughter, Ellie, of Fulton, Missouri; step sons, Aron Warren and his fiancé, Kit, of Columbia, Missouri and Thomas Warren (Sarah) with their sons, Henry and Sam, of Washington DC; Many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PET International and the Kingdom of Callaway Historical Society.
