Mary Louise Chambers, 80, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at her home. The daughter of Luther Tillman McCraw and Nova Lee (Williams) McCraw, she was born November 4, 1938 in Criner, Oklahoma.

Mary married James Oscar Chambers on March 26, 1955 in Blanchard and graduated from Blanchard High School in 1955. She worked as the Blanchard City Clerk for over twenty-two years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. In her spare time, she enjoyed water skiing, riding her jet ski, swimming, boating and camping. She loved to garden and was a great cook. Mary’s specialty was baking fried pies and cinnamon rolls, and everyone always loved her stuffing. Mary’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Connel Wayne McCraw.

Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jim Chambers, of Blanchard; three sons, Jimmy Don Chambers and his wife, Debbie, of Mustang, John T. “Tim” Chambers and his wife, Donna, of Edmond, and Kelly David Chambers and his wife, Michele, of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren, Jay Chambers, Chris Chambers, Allen Chambers, Tony Chambers and his wife, Mandi, Andrew Chambers, Ciara Sanford, Elizabeth Lindley, and Bo Ryan Channel; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald McCraw of Oklahoma City and Danny McCraw and his wife, Mary, of Blanchard; a sister-in-law, Leslie McCraw of Blanchard; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 31, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
