Esther was first woman to graduate from the School of Architecture at the University of Toronto, in 1920. She moved to Victoria, B.C. in 1936 with her parents. In 1953 she joined the Architectural Inst. of British Columbia & designed a variety of residential and institutional buildings in a contemporary, modernist style.
