Reno - DeAnn Frances McGowan Fabri passed away January 3, 2018.
DeAnn was born in Yerington, Nevada on December 8, 1939
to the parents of
David Terrance
and Frances Alice Perry McGowan.
She lived her early life in Yerington,
attending elementary,
middle, and high school.
DeAnn married her high school sweetheart,
Robert (Bob) Fabri from Yerington, in 1969.
They made their home in Reno with most weekends spent at Twin Lakes with their two children.
With an empty nest, Bob and DeAnn moved to Graeagle where they lived part-time.
DeAnn attended and graduated from the University of Nevada - Reno with a B.A. in Education.
She taught 40 years in Reno at Echo Loder, Peavine, Clayton, and St. Albert's.
DeAnn is survived by her brother Curtis McGowan; daughter Monet Paputsidis and husband Ted along with their children Elena and Mihalis;
son Robert and wife Danielle along with their children Lucas and Nathan;
and many others: sister and brother in-laws, a great aunt, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
An open house Celebration of Life will be held at the Lake Mansion in Reno at 250 Court Street on January 28th from 11am-2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation in DeAnn's name to the Arts for All Nevada or the Children's Cabinet.
