He was born to Simon Sr. and Mary Aberle in Edgeley, ND. After graduation, Larry earned a degree in Architectural Drafting from NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND. He then enlisted in the Marines in 1968. Larry was assigned to escort the Honored Vietnam fallen soldiers to their final resting places.
Preceding Larry in death are his parents Simon Sr. and Mary; brothers Oscar, Adam and Simon Jr.; sisters Lil and Irene; brother-in-law Charlie Larson; nieces Donna Carik and Cheryl Wylie.
