Breana MacKenzie Rouhselang, a 17 year old precious, beautiful, innocent, well loved young woman and her unborn baby girl, Aurora MacKenzie Rouhselang, tragically passed away early in the morning, on Sunday, December 9, 2018.

Breana was a very kind and compassionate person who was devoted to athletics since she could walk. She was a junior at Mishawaka High School where she was a cheerleader her freshman and sophomore years. Breana has played softball since she was 5 and continued on through her high school years. She was looking forward to receiving her letter at the Mishawaka High School sports banquet on the afternoon of her death. Breana had huge aspirations of attending college upon graduation to study athletic training. Breana always loved spending time with her family and friends, along with her dog Duffy as well. She was anxiously awaiting Christmas, her favorite holiday, as she loved to engage in all the community festivities. She loved decorating the tree and house with her mom and watching all the Christmas movies. She never wanted to miss any family gathering to play games with her little nieces and nephews and adults alike. Breana loved going to church with her grandma whenever she could. Breana will be terribly missed by all of her family and friends.

Breana is survived by her parents, Melissa Wallace of Mishawaka and Dave (Nicole) Rouhselang of South Bend; two brothers, Lance Wallace of Mishawaka and Diante Rouhselang of South Bend; grandparents, Christine Wallace and Robert E. (Connie) Wallace, both of Mishawaka; great grandmother, Betty Wallace of Mishawaka; uncles, Richard (Hashia) Wallace and Timothy (Truc) Wallace, both of the Virgin Islands; and cousins, Jaina, Malcolm, Quinn, Sahira, and Ila. Breana is also survived by many friends and extended family who also loved her very much. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lloyd “Jim” and Shirley Rouhselang.

A 16-year-old football player in Indiana is accused of murdering a 17-year-old cheerleader who was six months pregnant, police said.
Police discovered Breana Rouhselang’s body in a trash can behind a restaurant near her Mishawaka home Sunday morning after her family reported her missing, reported WNDU. Rouhselang’s loved ones called police Saturday night after they “got the feeling something wasn’t right,” Lt. Alex Arendt of the St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit told the AP.
Shortly after finding the body, police took Aaron Trejo, a classmate of Rouhselang’s at Mishawaka High School, into custody on a preliminary murder charge. He was scheduled to be charged as an adult on Monday morning, police said Sunday.
