Patricia Louise Lierly, "Patty", 88 of Lenexa, Kansas died peacefully in her sleep on November 17th in Overland Park, Kansas. Born August 1, 1930, in Jamesport, Missouri, she is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lena Lent, her husband of 58 years Bill Lierly, and daughter Elaine Lierly Jones. The youngest of eight children, Patty married Bill in 1949, moved to Kansas City, Missouri, and eventually settled in Lenexa in 1959. She became active in PTA, Bluebirds, and Cub Scouts as a young mother and housewife, and later in Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the Lenexa Historical Society. She worked as the secretary to the principal at Rose Hill Elementary School before her retirement in 1990. Patty was a member of the Lenexa United Methodist Church, loved to sing, and enjoyed participating in the choir. Patty is survived by son Glen Lierly of Dallas, Texas, son in-law Pat Jones of Gardner, Kansas, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who she always cherished. Patty's family is immensely proud and thankful for the wonderful memories and life she worked so hard to provide for us. She will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday December 11th at Lenexa United Methodist Church, 9139 Caenen Lake Road, Lenexa Kansas 66215.
