Martha was the daughter of John L. and Ellen McConahy Pherson. She was married to Rodger McPherson, William Sabik, and Harry Knapp and Ernest Mauphin, all who predeceased her.
Survivors included son James McPherson and daughter Patricia Sabik; four sisters, Mary Cline, Ruth McCracken, Agnes Litenberg and Joan Forbes; one brother, Perry Pherson; and four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son William Sabik; two sisters, Marian Haley and Dorothy Hogue; and four brothers, John, Robert , Donald and William Pherson.
