Mrs. Erna Achilles, 65, of 2004 NW Fourth St., were held at St. Luke's United Church of Christ on Jan. 19 with the Rev. A. M. Guthmiller officiating. Interment was made in Concordia Cemetery, North Morrisown. Pallbearers were Herbert Achilles, Leslie Bauman, Leslie Bloomer, Luverne Morgan, Ed Rehman and Arthur Zitzman.
Erna Bittrich Achilles was born on April 13, 1904, to Frank and Emma Rutz Bittrich in North Morristown. She was employed as a housekeeper at the Minnesota Braille and Sight Saving School prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ. Mrs. Achilles, who passed away at St. Lucas Geriatric and Convalescent Care Center on Jan. 16, is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Frieda Bottke of Encino, Calif., Mrs. Esther Piepho of Faribault, Mrs. Reinhold (Helen) Kiekenapp of Albert Lea and Mrs. Edwin (Serena) Zitzman of Morristown; and one brother, Paul Bittrich of Los Angeles, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, two brothers and one sister. Friends and relatives attended the funeral from Albert Lea, Morristown and Waterville.
