Eleanor Poss, of Sioux Falls, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the age of 94.

Eleanor Louise Moore was born on July 25, 1924 to Harrison and Alma (Harms) Moore. She was born and raised in White, South Dakota. In 1942, Eleanor graduated from White High School. Following a year at Madison Normal School, Eleanor moved to California for a short period of time and worked as a telephone operator. She also worked at the S&L store in Sioux Falls.

On March 12, 1947, Eleanor was united in marriage to Maurice Henry Poss in Flandreau, South Dakota. The couple became loving parents to their six children and settled in Sioux Falls.

Eleanor loved playing the piano and organ, which she played by ear. She especially enjoyed going to rummage sales and meeting with friends for coffee. Spending time with family was truly her greatest passion. Eleanor had a congenial personality and a great sense of humor.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Robert and Marvin Moore; and her infant son, Gary Allen.
