Father, Jacob Cook born January 30, 1820 in Roanoke County, Va.
Mother, Francis V Missur born June 1,1832 near Richmond, Virginia - They were married near Salem, Va. August 13, 1846

11 children were born and not many survived to adulthood
William D. Delano, Hattie B (Maxwell), Ella V (Barnes), Matthew R Delano.

Her parents were born in Virginia, and were living in Clinton County, Missouri when Mary was born. They then moved to West Virginia in Ohio County and lived in Wheeling, then crossed to the nearby county of Bellaire, Belmont, Ohio where they were in 1870 and where Mary married Douglas Christopher Delano on Sept 25, 1867. Family says they are a very distant relation to FDR. They then moved to Sarpy County, Nebraska and finally to Thayer County, Nebraska where the family farmed near Reynolds.
