Elmer’s mother was Lydia Harr, and his father was Emmanuel Ernest Haas. Lydia’s parents were Daniel and Katherine Harr. Emanuel’s parents were Barbara and Jacob Haas.
In 1944 Elmer was inducted into the army in Minneapolis, MN at Fort Snelling. During WWII he served in the Pacific Theater on board two different hospital ships as a non-combatant army medic.
Elmer and Mary Evangeline Wold were married in Minneapolis on March 26, 1948.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Lydia and Emmanuel Haas, brothers, Virgil and Lloyd Haas, wife, Mary Evangeline Haas, and grandson, Ryan Duvall.
