DEYOE, Mary Lou Elizabeth
Born November 17, 1928 in Schenectady, New York to Phillip and Cornelia Vitch. Mary Lou Deyoe
went home in peace to be with the Lord at the age of 89, on October 5, 2018 surrounded by her family after a courageous walk with cancer.
Mary Lou is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Bill
and their children, Bill (Laura) Deyoe, Bob (Jennifer) Deyoe and Diane (Connie) Deyoe
and their grandchildren, Ty, Tiffany, Travis, Taylor, Bobby, little Mary Lou
and their great-grandchild, Desiree.
Proverbs 31 says, "A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
Her husband has full confidence in her, and she brings him good and not harm all the days of her life".
Mary Lou was one of three daughters born in upstate New York. She was a beautiful and incredibly loving woman who could never tell a lie and always put her husband and family first.
She and Bill were married in 1947 at the Cobblestone Church in Schenectady, and she briefly worked at the GE Plant before becoming a mother and taking to her role with love and pride.
Mary Lou moved to Tucson with her husband and two children in 1959 where she supported her husband in his demolition business, Barnett and Deyoe Contractors,
and raised their children including the youngest child born shortly after their move.
After Bill's retirement, they traveled the states and the world, including Australia and Russia.
Her favorite place to visit was Italy, the home of her grandparents, Limatola, Italy.
Mary Lou touched many lives here on earth, and there are so many others considered "adopted" kids that it is impossible to list them all.
Mommy will be forever remembered as a beautiful, loving, good and kind daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, and wife of noble character.
Services will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY & CEMETERY on Friday, October 19, 2018 beginning at 11:00 a.m.
