Lem H Davis, age 69, native of Chickasaw County, Houston, died April 18. He suffered a heart attack at his home in Annandale, Virginia and died enroute to the hospital.
Mr. Davis had lived in Washington, D.C. and Virginia 35 years after leaving Chickasaw county. He was a member of the Arlington Baptist Church, a mason and veteran of World War I.
Surviving Mr. Davis are his wife and daughter of Virginia; one son of Miami, Fla.; three grandsons, three sisters, Mrs. Sam Overstreet of Memphis, Mrs. Jean Smith of Oxford, New Hampshire, Mrs. Willie Davis of Van Vleet, a number of cousins of Houston and a host of friends throughout the county.
