In the early morning hours on Mother's Day, May 13th 2007, the 24 year old male driver of a Dodge Quad Cab truck was believed to have been racing with a friend before entering a sharp curve and hitting a pine tree. Killing his 23 yr old brother as well as 19 yr old MALLORY JASON. The driver and a 16 yr old female passenger survived the wreck with non-life threatening injuries.
The entire community was affected by this tragedy. Mallory was a beautiful young lady with such a bright future ahead of her. She will be FOREVER missed by so many.

MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mallory E. Jason age 19, went to be with the Lord on Sunday,May 13, 2007, beloved daughter of Donna and Jerry Jason. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 17, 2007 at New Hope Worship Center at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Rich Bowen officiating. Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Survivors include, one brother, Jonathan Jason. Maternal grandparents, Obed M. and Louella Rogers of Hephzibah. Paternal grandparents, Patsy L. Morse and the late Leo A. Morse of Augusta. Several aunts, uncles and cousins. Mallory graduated from Evans High School in 2006, she was employed at Walgreen Drug Store on Fury's Ferry Rd. She was a student at the Georgia Military College in Martinez. Mallory will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Contributions may be made to the Trinity Hospice @ 2260 Wrightsboro Rd.
