Mrs. Lavana Elston, age 65, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at her home in Nichols, SC. Mrs. Elston was born on April 21, 1952 in Loris, SC, daughter of the late, Richard Gordon Johnson and the late, Jean Powell Johnson. Mrs. Elston worked as a data entry operator with Watson Clinic and was a longtime member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Marion Dale Elston, Jr. of the home; six daughters; Lisa Richardson and husband, Jim, Jr., Lois Elston, Tammy Miller and husband, Matt, Marie Edwards and husband, Daniel, April Elston and spouse, April Goddard, Kim Huber and husband, Dave; nine grandchildren; James Richardson, III, Megan Richardson, Madisyn Richardson, Austin Richardson, Olivia Edwards, Porter Elston Goddard, Kayla Owens, Damon Huber and Ethan Huber and her brother, Richard Johnson and wife, Evie.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Kirkland officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 30, 2018 until time of service at Pleasant View Baptist Church.
