JANET ANN AARON

Loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and special friend to many died May 7, 2006, age 56, from cancer.

Jan was a native of Sacramento & attended Sacramento High School. She graduated from Sacramento State College where Jan met her husband, Jim, in a college class, a meeting that evolved into 34 wonderful years of marriage and countless blessings.

Jan dedicated herself to her family and friends without compromise, opening her heart and home. She was a woman of grace and elegance. Jan's career with the University of California spanned many years with a break to join Public Television Channel 6, but returned to the UC Davis Medical Center in the position of Manager, Division of Pain Medicine.

Throughout her illness, Jan's faith remained strong and she always looked for God's purpose. She encouraged others with her faith, radiating light and hope to everyone she touched, and never asking "why" as her faith was paramount.

We will all miss Jan's love, delightful sense of humor, warmth, and especially her eternal engaging smile.

Blessed to be included in her life: husband James, daughter Julie, mother Gladys Lohmeier, brother Dr. Thomas Lohmeier and sister-in-law Laura from Jackson, MS, nephews Dr. Justin Lohmeier and Jeffrey Lohmeier and families, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Betty Lou and Russell Korhonen, and niece Kimberly Lunetta and family.

Preceded in death by her dear father Thomas E. Lohmeier.
