Dorothy (Dottie) Agnes Dalton Gray, age 89, peacefully departed this life surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 29, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Durward Reid Gray. Daughter of the late Agnes Parsley and Herman Neal Dalton. Loving mother of Memorie Nuzzo (Vincent Nuzzo Sr.), Houston Neal Gray (Jo Ann Winters), and Agnes Louvenia Chaney (Ralph). Grandmother of Michael, Randy (Sandra), Terry and the late Travis Smith, Savannah, Ciera and Angelis Gray, Robert Douglas, Memorie McLaren, and Jessie Montague. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren. Dorothy was born in Fort Worth, Texas and lived in the New Orleans area for much of her adult life. She was an avid reader and cherished spending time with her family in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Dottie retired from Schwegmann's after working many years in the Gentilly office. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 6 in the chapel at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA. Visitation will begin at 9:00 and continue until time of service. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in Chalmette, LA. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
