Mary Beth was the daughter of John and Mary Francis (Korfel) Pokorney. She married Roger Glanz on September 24, 1966, in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her death on October 1, 2017.
Mary Beth enjoyed her work as a secretary at both Pelham Manor in Toledo followed by Kuhlman Corporation, where she retired due to disability from her long-standing battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Her hobbies included weekly visits and dates with Roger to the Sylvania Moose Lodge and Sylvania Elks Lodge, Bingo nights, and trips to Upper Michigan visiting family, and trips to the casino.
She was a dedicated, loyal, devoted wife to her loving husband of 51 years, Roger Glanz. Together they had four children, John P. (Lisa) Glanz, M. Melissa Donnelly, Laura K. (John) Dillon, and Rochelle E. (Kevin) Whitmore. As an only child herself, she enjoyed watching her family grow as the years went on that included 22 grandchildren.
A resident of Ottawa Lake, MI, Mary Beth passed away at Sunset Village in Sylvania, OH. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she was also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Sr. Loretta Glanz, Jane (Joe) Arbuckle, Janet (Barry) Cook, Victor (Diane) Glanz, Sally (Ron) McClary, Norma Glanz and Bob Clemens.
Besides her loving husband, Roger, Mary Beth was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation, including a Rosary Service, was held on September 27th at the Weigel Funeral Home in Metamora, OH. A Mass of Resurrection was held the following morning at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Assumption, OH, where additional visitation wias held prior to Mass, with Fr. Michael Dandurand presiding. Interment will follow at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery.
