Mrs. Virginia Katherine "Ginnie" Pennington, 46, of Petersburg, died Aug. 11, at her residence.
Born Dec. 15, 1957, in Rough Run, she was the daughter of the late Ivan W. Whetzel and Vernie Vivian (Alt) Whetzel.
She is survived by her husband, Russell L. Pennington Sr.; one son, Scott Self of Petersburg; three stepsons, Robert Pennington of Upper Tract, Russell L. "Rusty" Pennington Jr. of Circleville and Rodney Pennington of Maysville; one stepdaughter, Rachel Pennington of Martinsburg; two stepgrandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Alt of Old Fields and Douglas Alt; one sister, Josephine Hyatt of Washington, Ind.; and one half sister, Nettie Carter of Parsons.
Graveside services were conducted Aug. 13, at the Maysville Cemetery, .
Memorial services were conducted Aug. 15, at the Lighhouse Community Church, Maysville.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Schaeffer Funeral Home. (8-17)
