Charles William Haas 1920 - 2005
Graveside services for Charles William Haas, 85, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.
Mr. Haas died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at Tonganoxie Nursing Center.
He was born Sept. 7, 1920, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of William Ole and Susan Elizabeth Carr Haas. He attended Lawrence schools and graduated from Liberty Memorial High School.
Mr. Haas was a farmer and worked for Constant Construction for five years. He also owned the Congo Bar in North Lawrence for 10 years.
He married Katherine J. Ray. She survives, of the home.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home in Lawrence.
The family suggests memorials to Tonganoxie Nursing Center, sent in care of the funeral home.
