Lisa’s first job was at Buck Jackson Country Store in Columbus, Arkansas. After she graduated, she worked for Poulan for 15 years, South Central Arkansas Electric in Little Rock. She transitioned to Grand Prairie, Texas, where she was employed by Cumming Electric, until her death.
Lisa married Keith Ross on January 5, 1991, to this union two children were born, LaKiesha Ross and Keith Ross, Jr. Then came the grandchildren, she loved those little ones more than life itself. Lisa could dance, she loved to dance so much she made up a dance for the family reunion. Most of all, she loved her mom, Lillie was her best friend.
Loss is never easy, but it is made less painful when we recall the many moments when “Lisa” experienced and gave to others pure unquestionable joy. Family, as well as friends, will miss her strength, smile and love, but will never forget her spirit and compassion. She passed into the Lord’s embrace on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at her mother’s home, she wouldn’t have had it any other way.
She was preceded in death by her son, James “Lil Booky” Adams; her mother, Lillie Mae Whitmore; stepfather, Leroy Whitmore and grandmother, Sallie Trotter.
