Valerie Lyn Taylor was born in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on January 13, 1961 to the union of Jesse Taylor, Jr. and Katherine (Greer) Taylor. She was the fourth daughter and the eighth child.
Valeria attended Milwaukee Public Schools. Later, she attended MBI, graduating with honors in Data Processing.
She attended Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized.
Valerie was never married and had no children, but was the mother to many.
She loved to play games, watch cooking shows and televised game show.

She is survived by brothers, Wayne (Gwen), Malcolm (Lolita), Kevin (Cora), Timothy and Jesse (Linette) Taylor, and sisters, Doris Cahn, Sherry Holman-Howard and Zannie Taylor. She is further survived by uncle, Robert Greet and aunts, Cora (Robert) Martin, Floristine Patterson, Cassie Greer and Gloristine "Glo" Billings, all of Milwaukee, WI, and Mary (Troy) Wakefield of Brentwood, TN, along with her nephews, nieces and cousins and many friends.
