Nina Jane Voyles Carter, 83, of 53 Alice St., died Thursday, April 1, 1999.
A native of Franklin County, Mrs. Carter was a daughter of the late Joseph and Maude Aderholt Voyles and was the widow of Reece Carter. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Thomas Carter. She was a homemaker and attended the Lavonia Church of God.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Hamby Funeral Home, with the Revs. Steven D. Hamby and Willard R. Fitzpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Gardens, North.
Survivors include two daughters, Lois Gaines, Hartwell, and Mildred Bryant, Bowman; two sons, Robert J. Carter, Roberta, and the Rev. Hubert R. Carter, Royston; a sister, Ammer Crook, Lavonia; a brother, Alvin Voyles, Martin; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
The family is at the residence.
