Tadeo Alvarez, 85, of Heber, CA went to be with our Lord on Thursday, December 30, 2010. He was born on October 28, 1925 in Calexico to Victor and Loretta Alvarez.

Tadeo worked as a farm laborer for Sam Andrews and Sons and Silver Creek Packing. He also served his country in the US Army during World War II. He was a devoted grandfather, father and husband.

Tadeo is preceded in death by his wife Feliciana. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jose and Victoria Alvarez, Israel and Lucia Alvarez; daughter and son-in-law, Maria Teresa and Manuel Olague; 7 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers Chapel in El Centro. Mass will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Heber with burial following at Mt. View Cemetery in Calexico.
